Why we share the Gospel...

​

• Jesus said to

 

"And he said to them, 'Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.'" - Mark 16:15 ESV

 

"and said to them, 'Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, and that repentance for the forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem.'" - Luke 24:46-47 ESV

 

"Jesus said to them again, 'Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you." - John 20:21 ESV

 

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” - Acts 1:8 ESV

• People are hopeless without Christ

 

"And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” - Acts 4:12 ESV

 

"For 'Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.'
But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?" - Romans 10:13-14 NLT

• Life’s defining moments often involve an invitation.

 

The next day Jesus decided to go to Galilee. He found Philip and said to him, 'Follow me.' Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter. Philip found Nathanael and said to him, 'We have found him of whom Moses in the Law and also the prophets wrote, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.' Nathanael said to him, 'Can anything good come out of Nazareth?”' Philip said to him, 'Come and see.'” - John 1:43-46 ESV

Ridgeview’s Strategic Initiative: PRAY. INVEST. INVITE.

 

• PRAY for individuals and families in our spheres of relationship who currently don't know Jesus.

• INVEST our personal resources (time, money, etc.) into building relationships for the purposes of sharing Christ.

• Look for opportunities to INVITE people into our lives, homes, and church to intentionally show and share the Gospel.
